What was the highlight of RedDoorz @ Aljunied

Terrible! Don’t bother.

There wasn’t much to like at all about this property. The front desk staff were friendly, and that’s it.

The carpet was worn through, the fridge wasn’t on, the water in the shower was cold only. The traffic was noisy, the guests were noisier and were coming all hours of the night. I had 30 minutes sleep for the entire night. With earplugs!

RedDoorz is nice place to stay.

It is nice place for rest n relax as the ambient is very quite even is near the main road. All staff are very helpful and cheerful. They do highlight the hotel procedure eg. ' No smoking in the room and the penalty is fine $ 200/- dollars.

It time to do maintenance of aircon, replace those standing light which is faulty holder, those table light to fix switches near the lamp for convienience to use. Additional s/s/ outlets for working eg.laptop. As all power socket is fully use by room equipment. Flushing cistern for toilet bowl to checked and rectified. Housekeeping should report to front Office if any faulty items or defects while doing cleaning.

Value for money.

Value for money. Staff were friendly. Had a good & comfortable stay. Overall was ok, except for the smoke smell. They had pretty nice deco. Location wise was good. 10mins walk to AL juneid MRT station.

Was welcome with a strong smoke smell from the room toilet. Can't smell it after close the door. But when in toilet, the smell is strong.

The reception was friendly and explain on their red door products, I felt impress and this is the 3rd times with Red doorz hotel i stay A and the staff explained to me.

Quite difficult to located the hotel is you go at midnight hours.Some taxi not sure the hotel location. Approximately 15min walk to the hotel is by public transport. Even though it at main road.

Cozy

Cool big window with nice view. Planes fly not far from the place, which makes the vista even better. Old Airport Rd hawker is nearby, so great cheap food is a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

Staff had pretty bad English. Boiler switch was hard to distinguish from the light switch so we spend a couple of days without hot water until we asked on reception whether something is wrong. Very little space: triple room was too small for three luggages.

OK budget hotel in Geylang, Singapore

It's one of many budget hotels in Geylang. The room is basic but larger than those in many of the budget hotels and reasonably comfortable with a desk and chair, small wardrobe, kettle and fridge. It is about ten minute walk to Aljunied MRT. Although it is in Geylang it is just out of the main red light area. Plenty of places to eat in the area.

The room looks rather old and not as clean as it could be. The bathroom in particular shows its age. Be aware that Geylang is Singapore’s red light area. Probably as safe as the rest of Singapore, which is very safe indeed.

Close to train station. Ideal for couples/solo travellers. Not family friendly.

Close to two train stations - Aljunied and Mountbatten. Both withing walking distance approx 5 mins walk. Also close to convenience stores, restaurants, and medical centre.

Discovered mould on the shower curtains and the corners of the wall. Water pressure was low, so had to spend a while in the shower. Room service was shocking, staff forgot to put in new toilet paper a few times and so we had to buy some from the supermarket.

Good and relax stay with wonderful service staff around.

This is my 2nd stay at this hotel. I am amazed how consistent the staff are. Good clean rooms, friendly staff and nice relax garden area. Good and simple breakfast which always refreshing. Kudos to the staffs.

Cheap and yet not value for money

- location was good. - cheap price for Singapore - toiletries provided and bottles of water every day.

- AC wasn't great - Triple Room was too small for 3 beds. - walls were filthy. - not enough plug sockets, we had to unplug lamps.
